How big is our solar system? Are there other planets that can sustain life apart from Earth? What are Saturn's rings made of? Why is Mars called the red planet? You have the questions. We have the answers.

The night sky is a fascinating vision of stars, planets and other celestial bodies, most of which are located millions of light years away. Our solar system is but a tiny speck in the vast fabric of the universe. The solar system is an assortment of planets, asteroids, moons, and a star that we know better as the sun. What lies in the solar system and beyond has fascinated laymen and astronomers alike. From Nicolas Copernicus to Carl Sagan, renowned astronomers and scientists have uncovered more of the universe than we ever thought possible. Listen now to know more about our fascinating planet and our solar system.

The Sun Earth and Everything in the Solar System (Audible Audio Edition) Innovate Media Nicholas S Johnson Books

This is a concise, comprehensive and accessible guide to the solar system. It is detailed enough to cover the major elements of the solar system, but not so detailed or technical as to be incomprehensible to those of us with limited knowledge about astronomy. One of the issues I've had with other astronomy guides, even introductory ones, is that they use language that is hard to understand for the layperson and get so technical that they’re hard to follow.

“The Solar System” covers the sun and planets of our solar system, with photos, origins, information about atmosphere and topography and other facts. The science is here, but in a way that makes reading about astronomy fun. This is a great introductory book for young people or for anyone just getting interested in learning about the universe. Before you start looking through a telescope, get this guide. It will help you know what you’re looking at and enrich your experience with astronomy.

The Sun Earth and Everything in the Solar System (Audible Audio Edition) Innovate Media Nicholas S Johnson Books Reviews

Jayden studied science in school, and he admits, that space is really cool. Jayden's best known facts of space are 1)The Cassini-Huygens Spacecraft took 7 years to get from Earth to Saturn(1997-2004). 2)Saturn is the only planet that can float in water. 3)There is a thing in the solar system that I can't quite explain that is beyond Pluto, called Termination Shock. I don't mean best known to people, I mean it is known best to Jayden if you get this.
this book is really great if you want to know alot about the solar system, its really detailed and uses alot of numbers I like it !!!

PS dont listen to robert !!! please
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS! I narrate audiobooks for Audible.com (a division of ) and am also an amateur astronomer. Last week, I responded to an audition solicitation for this book and I submitted an audition demo to narrate it. I now regret it. I immediately picked up the numerous spelling and grammatical errors noted by other reviewers. More importantly, as I read through other parts of the manuscript after submitting my demo, I picked up on a number of glaring factual errors in this book, something even a novice reader should notice. For instance, in the Introduction section, when mentioning searches for exoplanets, the author(s) (who remains anonymous) states that scientists are discovering these bodies lurking "outside of our universe"; this should have read something to the effect of around other stars in our galaxy and other galaxies. Later, in discussing the origin of comets, he/she/they state that they originate in the Kuiper Belt; no, comets originate in the Ort Cloud.

The author(s)? clearly did not proof read this manuscript nor did he/she/they do any fact checking, despite including an entire section on reference citations. This is an all-to-familiar pattern among neophytes who self-publish their books on platforms such as CreateSpace Independent Publishing. If you're looking for a title on this topic to read to your kids, go with one of the National Geographic titles instead. They're the same price as this book and contain accurate information.
The book is very informative but there are a lot of grammar errors and spelling errors. Other than that I really liked reading it to my little one on our "learn about a planet" bed time story time.
Good intro to our Solar System.
Good overview.
Really enjoyed how our Solar System is covered in depth. A nice guide for anyone wanting to know how our Solar System is unique.

Beautiful pictures help to make the commentary come alive. Would recommend for anyone interested in learning more about Astronomy or needing a good study refresher.
